Advent Retreat – 7.00pm on 5th, 12th & 19th December
Our Advent Retreat has started, and holds every Monday of Advent at 7.00pm in the Church hall. Those unable to join us physically may join the Zoom group. Mildred Piper RIP
We received news of the passing of Mildred Piper who many of us know very well. She was both a Catechist and a Lay Reader in our Church. Her Funeral Mass will be held here in our Church on 5th December at 1.30pm. Date and time are now confirmed. May her soul rest in peace.
Blessed Marie-Eugene Group
On Thursday 8 December at 7pm, there will be a talk in the Church Hall for the Blessed Marie-Eugene prayer group. Given by Fr Matt Blake titled “Blessed Marie Eugene and the Grace of Baptism.” All Are welcome.
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation – Call for Registration
Those who wish for their children to receive the sacrament of Confirmation next year may now register them for classes. The registration form is available at the back of the church and on our website https://carmelitechurch.org/activities/catechism-classes/Classes are due to start in January.
Children Classes and Liturgy
We have commenced our children’s classes and liturgy. The gathering of children for their own liturgy will be very beneficial to their growth in faith. Therefore we encourage all parents with children of this age to bring them to the 10.00am Mass so that they can participate in the class and liturgy.
World Youth Day Lisbon 2023
Are you a young person trying to discern what God is calling you to do? Do you want to meet other Catholic young adults from across the globe? Our Church Media Platforms have Launched – Facebook, Instagram & Twitter
In order to facilitate dissemination of information and engage everyone in the life our church community, we have launched our media platforms.. Already, in addition to emails, we use Whatsapp (0770 8203 595) where you can send a quick message or ask a quick question, and Youtube for streaming our Masses. Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love) – New reflection document on Marriage and Family Life (MFL). Diocese of Westminster Synodal Pathway Report
The archdiocese has recently published the synodal pathway report which incorporates all the conversations held within the diocese including our parish here. This report is available to read here as well as the archdiocesan website. When we have digested this report, it will be time to find ways of implementing some of the ideas we raised concerning our own church community. Please do read the report.
