WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY 18TH – 25TH JANUARY
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is an important time for the Church to reflect on the progress being made on the ecumenical journey.
You are invited to an Ecumenical Service to mark the week of prayer for Christian unity on 20th January @7pm. Venue: Kensington United Reformed Church, Allen Street, W8 6BL. Just a walking distance from High Street Kensington
VOCATION DISCERNMENT
Young Adults Discernment Retreat in Aylesford Priory, Kent (Men & Women, ages 18–30) 6–8 February 2026. Held at Aylesford Priory, the ancient home of the Carmelites, this weekend offers space to step away from daily busyness for prayer, reflection, and community, in partnership with the Religious of the Assumption and the Carmelite Friars. Vocation Discernment Retreat in Rome (Women only, ages 18–30) 27 February – 1 March 2026. A discernment retreat with the Religious of the Assumption, offering time for prayer, reflection, and spiritual accompaniment in the heart of the Church. Cost: £100 plus travel. TAIZÉ PILGRIMAGE FOR YOUNG ADULTS
Taizé Pilgrimage for Young Adults (aged 18-35) in Paris with the Assumption group from 28 Dec 2025 to 1 Jan 2026. The Taizé European Meeting is a “Pilgrimage of trust on Earth” gathering thousands of young people for prayer, reflection, and community. Cost: €110 + travel. World Leprosy Day 2026: JBMS Calls for Compassion, Support, and PrayerSunday 25 January 2026
World Leprosy Day offers an important opportunity to highlight the stigma and discrimination that many people with leprosy still endure. It is also a day to celebrate the courage and resilience of those living with the disease, and to honour the memory of John Bradburne, who devoted his life to caring for them.
The John Bradburne Memorial Society (JBMS) is calling on individuals, parishes, and communities to support its mission on World Leprosy Day, to be observed on Sunday 25 January 2026. This annual day of awareness shines a spotlight on the ongoing challenges faced by people affected by leprosy, a neglected tropical disease that continues to impact thousands worldwide.
